Polysomnography (PSG) is a diagnostic test that records multiple physiological parameters, including brain activity, snoring, sleep apnoea and hypopnoea, body movements, chest and abdominal movements, blood oxygen levels and heart rate. It can detect and measure abnormalities in the sleep-wake cycle.

It is used to assess and diagnose simple snoring (habitual snoring), more severe forms of obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome (OSAS), respiratory failure and restless legs syndrome.

The test is performed comfortably at the patient’s home.
