Adult and Children’s Orthodontics
Orthodontics, also known as orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics, focuses on abnormalities in jaw growth, tooth development and alignment. Treatment aims to prevent, correct or reduce growth abnormalities, also taking into account possible postural conditions or incorrect habits.
Orthodontic appliances are used to achieve these therapeutic goals and can be divided into two main categories: REMOVABLE and FIXED orthodontic appliances.

Removable and/or Functional Orthodontics
Removable and/or functional orthodontics is used in growing children to improve diagnosis and treatment, while taking into account genetics, physiology and neuromuscular interactions.
Modern orthodontics goes beyond simply aligning the teeth and considers the spatial relationship of the skeletal structures in harmony with the neuromuscular system, teeth and soft tissues. Its role therefore includes not only restoring proper chewing function, but also supporting swallowing, breathing, speech, posture and facial aesthetics.

Fixed Orthodontics
Fixed orthodontics uses brackets, either aesthetic or metal, positioned on the inner or outer surface of the teeth and/or bands placed around the molars. These are connected by orthodontic wires that apply controlled forces to gradually move the teeth.
Fixed appliances may be used on the upper arch, lower arch or both, depending on the diagnosis, treatment plan and the patient’s age.

Invisalign
Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that uses a series of custom-made transparent aligners designed to fit the patient’s dental arches. The aligners gradually move the teeth and can be removed for eating and oral hygiene. They are replaced periodically according to the treatment plan.
