This involves the surgical placement of titanium implants in the maxillary or mandibular bone. Once osseointegration has taken place, the implants can support fixed or removable dental prostheses to restore the patient’s chewing function. Guided implant surgery uses 3D software and a CT scan (dental scan) of the jawbone to plan the procedure and the placement of an immediate complete dental prosthesis.
